Welcome to the LAUSD K-12 Open Enrollment website. The K-12 Open Enrollment process is a state mandate allowing students anywhere in LAUSD to apply to any regular, grade-appropriate Los Angeles Unified public school with designated open enrollment seats. Parents or guardians who want to enroll their child at a school other than their current school of attendance must complete an open enrollment application.
For 2026, the District K-12 Open Enrollment on-time application period will be April 13 to May 4, 2026. District K-12 Open Enrollment placements will be announced later in May. Families must log in to the parent registration website in order to accept or decline their placements.
Late applications for Open Enrollment may be submitted from May 26, 2026, through September 11, 2026.
